V. G. Poklonskiy, O. L. Kozlova · Krasnoznamensk City College · 2025
The abstract below is the authors’ English abstract published in the journal. The rest is a summary of the Russian text.
Abstract
The goal is to substantiate an algorithm for choosing a social media marketing strategy depending on the business goals and capabilities of the company. Hypothesis: taking business goals into account when choosing a social media marketing strategy reduces the gap between business goals and the implementation of marketing campaigns. The scientific novelty lies in the systematization of social media marketing strategies by type of interaction and strategic orientation. Methods: bibliometric and content analysis of scientific publications, comparative analysis of strategies, algorithm construction.
Four strategies
- Social commerce · goal: sales and traffic · one-way interaction
- Social content · goal: awareness and reputation · two-way, initiated by the company
- Social monitoring · goal: customer satisfaction and market signals · initiated by the audience
- Social CRM · goal: retention and co-creation of value · collaboration with customers
The algorithm
Define the business goal → assess the company’s capabilities (content production, data and feedback handling, personalization infrastructure) → match goal, interaction level and capabilities to choose the strategy → choose tools and formats → run campaigns → measure, compare with the goal and adjust.

“If the emotion is real, engagement grows. If it’s acted, the viewer leaves.”
“Real sincerity is having a strategy without playing a role. It’s managed spontaneity.”
“No fake followers, no staged scenes — and still millions of views. You can try to trick the algorithms. You can’t trick the audience.”
